2010 Fun Fest Grand Parade
& Kiddie Parade
Kiddie Parade Information:
The 2010 Fun Fest Kiddie Parade will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 10th. This year's parade route will be a circular route on City streets around the New Richmond Area Centre/Citizen's Field Complex.
Registration will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the New Richmond Area Centre.
All youth are invited and all participants will be invited to be part of the New Richmond Centre's entry in the Fun Fest Grand Parade. There will be other fun youth activities as well.
After the parade have the whole family enjoy the main festival area including a great line-up of family entertainment all day on Saturday the 11th.

Grand Parade Information:
The 2010 Fun Fest Grand Parade will be held on Saturday, July 10th will start at 5:00 p.m.. This year's parade will feature 4 marching bands and over 70 other entries.
Route:
This year's Grand Parade route will return to Knowles Avenue. Line-up will take place at on Second Street east and west. The parade will proceed south on Knowles from Second Street (First National Community Bank) and conclude at Paperjack Drive (Pamida). During the parade, thru traffic will be detoured around New Richmond via Richmond Way, Country Rd A, County K and the Highway 64 Bypass. Local traffic will be able to proceed south on 65 to First Street. Please see the parade route map below.
Parking & Prime Viewing Areas:
We are highly encouraging people to park at the main festival lot at WITC. From this parking lot you have just a short walk to several blocks of great parade viewing spots along the east side of Highway 65 including the West Elementary area. There is a sidewalk along the entire length of tha area. By parking at WITC you and your family will be able to go back to the festival area to enjoy the carnival, the community food court and the Firehouse Show. Knowles Avenue will re-open as soon as safely possible after the conclusion of the parade but there may be as much as a 30 minute delay when you will not be able to access or leave the festival area via Knowles Avenue. The festival area is accessible via city street through the New Richmond Business Park.
Announcing & Judging Stand:
There will be no announcement stand and band judging stand in 2010. The high cost of detour signage for the parade has forced budget cuts for other aspects of the parade. Fun Fest is charged over $1,500 for the detour signage used for the parade.
